In a global survey of 1500 CEO's IBM found that creativity was considered to be the number 1 leadership trait

"more than rigor, management discipline, integrity or even vision - successfully navigating an increasingly complex world will require creativity."
WHAT IS CREATIVITY?
It seems that when we try to capture creativity, it reveals its truth only from the exact place where we are looking at it from, the truth changing when we look at it another way. Many scholars acknowledge that a definition of creativity has yet to be agreed on despite what the dictionaries might have us believe. Davis (2010) shares that there are as many definitions of creativity as there are people defining it. Esquivel (1995) states “creativity is a complex and multifaceted construct, for which there is no agreed-upon definition, it is viewed as a critical process involved in the generation of new ideas, the solution of problems, or the self-actualization of individuals according to whichever theoretical perspective is espoused”.

Creativity is energy manifest to meet a need. It is a force used in combination with the languages of our experiences and our aptitudes to bring ideas and dreams into physical and conceptual form. (me)
To me, creativity is...
Energy manifest to meet a need. It is a force used in combination with the languages of our experiences and our aptitudes to bring ideas and dreams into physical and conceptual form. Energy manifest to meet a need. It is a force used in combination with the languages of our experiences and our aptitudes to bring ideas and dreams into physical and conceptual form. Creativity is a way of being in the world that we activate in ourselves. Used in connection to Source, it acquaints us with our spirit. Creativity is transformational, it provides a means by which an individual, a small group or large mass of people can develop new perspectives, understanding, incarnations and iterations of reality. Creativity provides us the opportunity to transform not only the physical world but also the internal one by enabling us to experience our potential. Creativity does not have a preference for destructive or constructive application. |
I believe it is our responsibility to nurture the healthy expression of Creativity and I advocate for ethical creativity. I think Creativity has the ability to save the world and to destroy the planet. It is our superpower. It is the creator and destroyer force that we must remember to use with caution and respect.
